Flinders Clinic Fee Information

Flinders Clinic is a Mixed Billing Practice and our fee has increased from July 1st, 2023

Over the last few years, cost of running a medical clinic has increased significantly. However Medicare rebates have not increased in line with increasing cost and inflation. We have been absorbing the costs, however, in order to keep our service sustainable and still be able to maintain high standards of care, we had to make the difficult decision to increase our fees as below.

Concession, Pension and DVA Cards

Patients who hold a valid Pension, Concession or DVA card will be Bulk Billed and not incur any costs for standard appointments.

To be eligible for Bulk Billing and Concessional rates you must carry a valid card with you to your visit.

Gap fees still apply for procedures and consumables for all patients, including the associated appointment.

We will continue to bulkbill services for:

  • Health Assessments and Care Plans.
  • Mental Health Care Plans and reviews.
  • Annual Flu Vaccinations for eligible patients and Childhood immunisations (non-Medicare patients must pay privately.)

Not all services at our Clinic can be bulkbilled and incur a Gap fee:

  • Excision, Biopsy, Wart/Skin-tag removal
  • Iron Infusion
  • Vitamin B Injection
  • Implanon Removal and Insertion
  • Hormone Insertion
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Wound care – Dressings, Burns, Stitches and Gluing
  • Foreign body Removal
  • Aspiration
  • ECG
  • Workplace medicals, Heavy Vehicle medicals and Commercial Drivers’ Licence medicals
  • Insurance reports
  • Workcover

Please speak to your doctor or reception staff for expected out of pocket expenses.

Payments

Patients will be asked to pay the full Medicare amount plus the gap on the day of your appointment, after the payment is processed, the Medicare amount will be transferred back into your nominated account.

Please have your banking card with you at the time of your appointment.

It is the responsibility of the patient to pay their account at reception after each appointment.
