Flinders Clinic is now a Medicare Bulk Billing Practice

From 1 November 2025, we will bulk bill all eligible services for all eligible patients.

This means most standard GP appointments will have no out-of-pocket cost when you bring your Medicare card.

Bulk billed services include:

• Standard GP consultations
• Chronic disease management plans
• Mental health care plans
• Most preventive health services

Services that will still incur fees:

• Iron infusions
• Procedures (e.g. biopsy, excision, minor surgery)
• Wound care and associated consumables
• Foreign body removal
• Aspiration
• Implanon removal and insertion
• Hormone insertion
• Insurance forms, reports, certificates and other admin requests
• Workplace medicals, Heavy Vehicle and Commercial vehicle medicals
• Non-Medicare services (e.g. travel medicine, cosmetic services, some vaccines)
• Workcover

If a service is not part of Medicare’s standard bulk billing schedule, a private fee will apply.

Your doctor and our reception team will advise you of any costs before your appointment.

We’re making this change to support better access to healthcare while continuing to provide the same high-quality care you expect.

Non-Medicare Private Patients

Patients without Medicare will pay the full appointment fee on the day of their appointment. An invoice will be provided for claiming through private health insurance.

Standard appointment (single issue)

• Upfront cost $80.00 
• Out of pocket cost $37.15

Long or Complex appointment 

• Upfront cost $120.00
• Out of pocket cost $37.10

Extra Long or Complex appointment

• Upfront cost $160.00 
• Out of pocket cost $37.05

Telehealth – Standard appointment ONLY

• Upfront cost $80.00 
• Out of pocket cost $37.15
